Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has fallen ill. This was announced by the first deputy head of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs Konstantin Zatulin in an interview with the Rise newspaper.
The Russian MP said there was nothing supernatural about Lukashenko’s health issues.
“It’s not covid. The man just got sick. Despite the fact that the person got sick, he felt it was his duty to come (on May 8) to Moscow, then to the evening of the same day, he held events in Minsk,” Zatulin said.
Earlier it was reported that Lukashenka missed the celebration ceremony for the Day of the Flag, Emblem and Anthem of Belarus.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko did not take part in public events after the May 9 celebrations in Moscow and Minsk. He also did not attend the breakfast in the Kremlin after the end of the victory parade, which was attended by the leaders of the CIS countries. Later, the official representative of the Kremlin and the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that Lukashenko should leave for festive events in Minsk.
