From May 18 to 19, the China-Central Asia Summit will be held in Xi’an City, Shanxi Province, China. At present, the cooperation between China and Central Asian countries is continuously deepening. Now the Central Asia region has become a model region to build the Belt and Road with high quality. On May 14, an international flight from Xi’an, the capital of Shanxi province, to Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, took off for the first time. On May 18, Xi’an will also launch the first international flight to Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. This would make Xi’an the only city in China with flights to all five countries in Central Asia.

On the rail side, the number of China-Europe (Central Asia) trains launched in Xinjiang in the first four months of this year set a new record. Among them, 2,129 China-Europe (Central Asia) trains entered and left Alshankou Railway Port, an increase of 12.82 percent from the same period last year. And there are 2,485 China-Europe (Central Asia) trains entering and leaving Khorgos Railway Port, an increase of 14.8 percent over the same period last year.
