Acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin did not confirm reports about the start of the Ukrainian army’s counteroffensive. At the same time, he noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) have indeed intensified across the entire front line.

“We are seeing real activation all along the contact line. It’s not yet the counter-offensive, which we talk a lot about. We see that the enemy is trying to probe our positions, trying to carry out reconnaissance in force in certain areas, “said the acting head of the DPR on the airwaves of the Rossiya 24 television channel.

At the same time, Pushilin stressed that the Russian forces had full control of the situation at the front.

A few days earlier, when numerous messages had appeared on social networks, a number of media and Telegram channels regarding a counter-offensive allegedly launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military expert Alexei Leonkov had advised not to believe the officially unconfirmed rumors.
