Zelenskyy blames the Russians for the fall of the Charlemagne prize awarded to him in Germany

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has traditionally blamed the Russians for dropping the Charlemagne Prize on the floor during his speech to German politicians on a working trip to Germany. The broadcast of the Ukrainian leader’s speech was shown on the YouTube channel Der Spiegel.

As soon as the object fell, Zelenskyy interrupted his speech to pick it up.

“(They are) Russians,” he briefly commented on the incident.

Noting the fallen bonus, the Ukrainian president resumed his speech.

The award ceremony for the Ukrainian leader took place in the German city of Aachen on May 14. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who was present at the event, said European countries owe a lot to Zelenskyy.

After visiting Germany, the Ukrainian president traveled to France to meet his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.
