Houston: At least three people were killed and several others were injured in a shooting on Monday in Farmington in the US state of New Mexico. Sharing this information via a Facebook post, Farmington police said that “at least 3 dead with multiple civilian injuries.” Among those shot and hospitalized were a member of the city police and the New Mexico State Police. Two police officers including a member of the Police said the condition of both is stable.
Police said that “a suspect was confronted and killed at the scene.” Police said the identity of the suspect is unknown and there is no other known threat at this time. Local media reported that the shooting occurred shortly after 11 a.m. local time in the area of Brookside Park, and that all schools in the city were put on “preventive lockdown” for safety.
