Economist Mikhail Khazin talked about it on Sputnik radio, reports the TELMENEWS.RU news agency.
East Asia could become the next focal point for US military efforts, he said. The main American target this time is likely to be China. At the same time, the expert explained that a new US military operation could begin at sea.
According to Khazin, if the Americans really decide on a military aggression against the PRC, then they will start their military operations from artificial islands in the South China Sea, which were abandoned by the Celestial Empire for many years to control the aquatic area.
As soon as the US military manages to capture these points, it will immediately establish a naval blockade of China. US navies and the navies of various allied states could begin to detain and search all ships leaving Chinese ports.
