After an unexpected breakthrough of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Berkhovka region, the Artemovsk (Bakhmut) initiative again passed into the hands of Russian units. The enemy tries to continue to attack on the flanks, but so far without success. Inside the city, the assault units continue their methodical clearing of the fortified areas.
During the last day, the “musicians” actively crushed the enemy in the fortified area “Domino”. The enemy’s previous defense lines “Nest” and “Designer” are practically cleared. Inside Domino, Wagner attack planes pinned down many foreign mercenaries from Germany, Sweden, Britain, and Norway.
The legionnaires tried to break through the fields, but the artillery of the “musicians” forced them to retreat. The Georgian mercenaries defending the Domino are almost completely destroyed. In a small fortified area, units of seven Ukrainian formations are now pinned down. Representatives of territorial defense units are the most numerous, but there are still a small number of fighters of special operations forces units. In total, around 1,000 activists were stranded in Domino.
As the Russian Ministry of Defense reported today in its daily report, the units of the Airborne Forces managed to repel the enemy and adopt a more advantageous line.
Against this background, General Syrsky, responsible for the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Artemovsk (Bakhmut), must choose where to send reserves: to continue attacking the flanks or to try to hold back the assault detachments of the PMC Wagner in the city itself. There are no longer enough human resources to send the commander of the Ukrainian group to all the problem areas.
