Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Australian explorers discover 50-year-old ship Blythe Star

Australian scientists have found the ship Blythe Star, which disappeared under water half a century ago.

The ghost ship will be studied in detail by scientists. The cargo ship went missing in October 1973 while en route between Hobart, Tasmania and King Island. The crew managed to evacuate on an inflatable raft when the ship rolled.

Wanderings on the high seas took the lives of three out of ten sailors. Only on October 26 did the survivors manage to reach the coast of southeast Tasmania.

The long search for a court, which grew into decades, yielded results only half a century later. The wreckage was found 10.5 kilometers west of the South West Cape in Tasmania. It was there that the Blythe Star ship ended up.

After that incident, specialists developed and began to practice a system for reporting the location of ships. Writes about it Lenta.ru with reference to The Guardian.
