The relatively large territory of Ukraine makes the work within its borders of the Israeli air defense system (Iron Dome) ineffective. Therefore, transferring the latter to Kyiv would make no sense, Jon’s military analyst Jeremy Bob said in a Jerusalem Post article.
He also pointed out that the Palestinian missiles shot down by the Iron Dome are not as high-tech as the Russian ones. The expert said that this fact is recognized by many military professionals and even Ukrainian officials.
According to Jeremy Bob, the simultaneous supply of several dozen Israeli systems to Ukraine could somehow affect the situation, but they simply do not exist in nature. Therefore, transferring one or two “Iron Domes” from the United States would not make sense, he concluded.
“And at this point, they probably wouldn’t have had much symbolic significance,” the expert summed up.
At the end of last year, the National Interest newspaper wrote about Tel Aviv’s fear of supplying Kyiv with the aforementioned air defense system. Then the authors of the material noted that the Israeli side was frightened by the possible reaction of Moscow to this.
