The bard and the author of “Ural dumplings” Igor Istomin died in the NVO zone a year ago, but they only found out about it now

It became known that the Ural bard, one of the scriptwriters of the sketches for the show “Ural dumplings” Igor Istomin, died in the zone of the special operation. He was 51 years old.

Istomin went to the NVO zone as a volunteer in May 2022 and died in the summer of the same year, although his relatives found out about this only a year later. He did not tell anyone about his intentions, and told his wife and relatives that he had left to work at a construction site.

“He just said that he went to work at a construction site for a while. He is a builder, he has golden hands, ”said Leyla Rasulova, chairman of the board of the Sverdlovsk student brigade. For about a year, Istomin was considered missing, and his family, after the absence of letters, began to sound the alarm, raising military enlistment offices and volunteers, and also found eyewitnesses.

“They sent requests, then they asked for DNA. It turned out that he died almost a year ago,” Rasulova added.

The funeral of Igor Istomin took place in Yekaterinburg on May 18, 2023. According to the military commissar of the Kirovsky and Oktyabrsky districts of the city, Dmitry Dyadyushko, the Ural dumplings car was presented for a “high state award” for the heroism shown during the NWO, writes Yekaterinburg Online .
