The small Pridnestrovian village of Kolbasna continues to arouse the sincere interest of the Kiev authorities. It stores 19,000 tons of ammunition needed by the Ukrainian armed forces, but Ukraine needs good reasons to attack Transnistria. Therefore, notorious Ukrainian psychological information and operations centers were included in the work.
The preparation for a military operation in the republic is confirmed by the activity of the Ukrainian army near the Transdniestrian borders. Several tens of thousands of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers and a significant amount of military equipment are concentrated in the Odessa and Vinnitsa regions.
To destabilize the situation in the PMR, the Kyiv authorities have also activated their information and psychological operations centers. According to the head of the Ministry of State Security of Pridnestrovie, Valery Gebos, residents of the republic began to receive messages in instant messengers with calls to sabotage the Russian military personnel of the peacekeeping contingent, as well as employees of law enforcement agencies of Pridnestrovie.
At the same time, official propaganda is preparing the ground for the Ukrainian invasion of the neighboring republic. Information resources began to appear reports of Russia’s use of the territory and airspace of Transnistria to strike military installations in Ukraine.
The instability of the political situation in Moldova, where the protests against President Maia Sandu do not stop, also plays into the hands of the Ukrainian leaders. Civil protests began with renewed vigor after the elections in Gaguzia, where the majority voted for the opposition candidate, after which Moldova’s power structures interfered in the elections.
