A product based on seaweed..Enjoy the health of astronauts

Spirulina is considered one of the oldest life forms on the planet and is commonly sold as a supplement in powder or pill form and mixed into a drink or added to food.

NASA astronauts are said to be big consumers of spirulina after studies ranked it as a very important nutrient.

What are the health benefits of spirulina?

A powerful antioxidant

People have always been interested in the antioxidant effects of blueberries, avocados, and salmon, and now spirulina can be added to that list. “Antioxidants have an incredible ability to scavenge cancer-causing free radicals and reduce inflammation in the body,” says dietitian Beth Zeroni.

Reduce cancerous tumors

A study published in 1995 found that spirulina could be used to shrink tumors in people with oral cancer. Experts found that just one gram of spirulina a day for a year reduced cancerous tumors in 45% of research participants.

Relieve seasonal allergies

For those who suffer from hay fever, the green stuff can help soothe some of the more difficult symptoms. A study has shown that regular use of spirulina can help relieve a runny nose.

Dental health improves

Seaweed has antibacterial properties, which is why a mouthwash containing spirulina was made. People who used the mouthwash noticed a significant reduction in plaque and gingivitis.

Despite its benefits, some people should not take spirulina, including pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with immune system problems, people with diabetes or blood disorders, people with shellfish or seafood allergies, and those suffering from iodine intolerance.
