And a constitutional decree, published today, Friday, by the media of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, said: “The President of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, published today today a constitutional decree dismissing the vice-president of the Transitional Sovereignty Council. , Lieutenant General Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo, from his post, effective today, 19 May 2023.”
“His Excellency has instructed the General Secretariat of the Sovereignty Council and the relevant state authorities to enforce this constitutional decree,” the decree adds.
It should be noted that Sudan is witnessing a conflict between the army led by Al-Burhan and the Rapid Support Forces led by Dagalo, and most of the fighting is taking place in and around the capital, Khartoum.
Meanwhile, representatives of the two warring parties are in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in order to reach a truce.
