Earlier, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, during his opening speech at the Arab League summit, called on the leaders of Arab countries not to allow foreign interference in their internal affairs. “The most important thing is to allow people to manage their own affairs and solve their internal problems,” he said.
On Friday, Arab League leaders for the first time in 12 years gathered for a meeting of the organization as a whole. The summit is being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
