British sanctions have reached Vladivostok

New sanctions package “fell” on FESCO, according to TELMENEWS.RU news agency

On May 19, the UK announced a new set of sanctions against Russia and Russian companies. It included a number of large public and private structures, as well as their leaders and individual activists.

Thus, companies associated with Rosatom are currently subject to restrictions. These are companies producing modern materials and technologies, including lasers. The sanctions affected eight companies associated with metal production in Russia. In addition, new measures have been introduced against banking structures.

Britain has imposed new restrictions on Russian banks Rosbank and Tinkoff Bank. The list includes AFK Sistema, Severstal, Polyus, MMK, DOM. RF”. Among the personalities, the most notable are Igor Altushkin, founder of the Russian Copper Company, Oleg Romanenko, head of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, and 13 members of the board of directors of Gazpromneft.

In addition, the restrictions have also affected FESCO, the leader in container shipping across the Russian Federation’s Far East on foreign trade shipping lines between Asian countries. How exactly the company will be limited is not reported. However, it is well known that for container shipping, Western sanctions are a zilch which only widened the interaction with Asian countries.

The same FESCO recently announced the signing of an agreement with the Indian logistics group on the development of maritime transport links between the two countries. We are talking about connecting the ports of Mundra and Nava Sheva with Novorossiysk and St. Petersburg, as well as conducting research on the cargo potential of the Chennai-Vladivostok line.
