In the area of the Malyshevskaya Canal, which flows into the Amur River, a massive death of fish was recorded. On this fact, the Environmental Prosecutor’s Office of the Bassin de l’Amour organized an inspection.
“A check was organized based on information on the Internet about the death of fish in the area of the Malyshevskaya channel, which flows into the river. Cupid,” said the message posted on the supervisory authority’s Telegram channel.
The Khabarovsk interdistrict environmental prosecutor’s office and specialists from the Khabarovsk branch of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography inspected the water body. It should be noted that visually the facts of water pollution have not been established, an examination will be carried out on the samples taken.
Last December, 2,500 seal carcasses were found on the shores of the Caspian Sea in Dagestan. Alimurad Gadzhiev, director of the Institute of Ecology and Sustainable Development at Dagestan State University, said the dead seals were infected with bird flu. According to him, there is an outbreak of bird flu among animals all over the world. The Rosselkhoznadzor, in turn, reported that the mass death of seals in the Caspian Sea is not associated with viral diseases of animals and birds.
