Nutritionist Mansurova reported on the dangers of drinking tea with milk for sick kidneys and gastrointestinal tract

May 19, 2023

Nutritionist Irina Mansurova told aif.ru that the combination of tea and milk may be harmful for people with urinary tract infections or kidney disorders.

She advised people with gastrointestinal disorders to avoid milk tea as the combination could cause bloating.

In addition, she says it’s best to avoid adding tea leaf enzymes to drinks in which active drugs are dissolved, as they can interfere with their absorption.

The specialist reminded people about the beneficial properties of drinks – for example, tea slows down aging and restores cells, and milk is rich in vitamins and minerals.

The nutritionist emphasized that tea with milk helps to calm the nervous system; increases the efficiency and tone of the body, cleanses it of toxins due to the combination of tannin and lactic acids. The diuretic effect of the drink contributes to the normalization of kidney function, speeds up metabolism and burns fat. The content of vitamin C and antioxidants has an immune-strengthening effect.

Milk tea also helps restore calcium balance in the body, preventing osteoporosis and strengthening hair, nails and muscles. It can also increase testosterone production in men. People who do not have contraindications can drink no more than 700 grams of tea with milk per day, and only as part of the main meal.
