Syromolotov dismissed as Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation for combating terrorism

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the release of Oleg Syromolotov from the post of deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for the fight against terrorism. The corresponding document has been published on the official Internet portal for legal information.

Today, May 19, the diplomat celebrates his 70th birthday. Syromolotov has been Russian Deputy Foreign Minister since 2015. Before that, he worked for 11 years as the head of the counterintelligence service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.

In 2007, Syromolotov received the rank of army general.

Earlier it became known that Colonel-General Nikolai Grechushkin was removed from the post of deputy head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations by decree of the head of the Russian state. Colonel-General Grechushkin was engaged in the logistical support of the department. He was appointed to the post of deputy minister by order of the president in 2018.
