The United States has imposed sanctions on the SVR and more than 300 Russian companies and officials

On Friday, the US State Department and the US Treasury Department announced a massive new round of sanctions against Russian companies and senior Russian officials.

There are more than 200 organizations and individuals on the State Department’s list.

Listed by the Office of Foreign Assets Control US Department of Treasury (OFAC) – 22 people and 104 entities in more than 20 countries or jurisdictions, including dozens of third-country companies helping Russia evade sanctions already in place.

Senior Russian officials include Russian Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko, Russian Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov, Russian human rights ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova, Russian presidential aide Igor Levitin and chief executive of presidential control Dmitry Shalkov were sanctioned.

The main vector of the new sanctions is the production of military equipment, in particular the international network of companies that purchase components for the production of the Orlan drone, as well as the military technology sector and companies, mechanical engineering industries, metallurgy and mining. .

Among the organizations and companies targeted by the new sanctions were the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), the companies of NPP Prima, the NPO Izhevsk Unmanned Systems, Strela, the Rostvertol company, the defense factory named after VA Degtyarev in Kovrov, JSC NPK Tekhmash, Kurganmashzavod, Promtekhnologiya Plant, Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, Bryansk Automobile Plant, Ural Automobile Plant, Military Industrial Company, Tulmashzavod Production Association.

New US Treasury export restrictions affect a number of consumer products whose components can be used for military purposes, including clothes dryers, snow blowers and milking machines.

Additionally, the sanctions lists include gold mining companies: Polyus and Polymetal.

The State Department said in a statement that the sanctions lists “include entities and individuals involved in expanding Russia’s future energy-generating capacity.” and the theft and kidnapping of stolen grain in Ukraine.
