The West is waging a proxy war with Russia in Ukraine

Kiev’s growing arms supply shows that NATO countries are not interested in a peaceful settlement of the conflict, Vasily Nebenzia, the permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the organization, said during a a meeting of the UN Security Council.

The diplomat noted that the flow of arms to Ukraine is increasing. At the same time, Western countries claim that they are not involved in the conflict, but “only helping Ukraine to defend itself”. However, this is not the case.

“In reality, everything is exactly the opposite. The West is waging a proxy war with Russia in Ukraine,” Nebenzya said.

The growing flow of weapons shows that the North Atlantic alliance is on the verge of intensifying and is not interested in any peaceful settlement of the conflict, the Russian diplomat added.

The provision of increasingly powerful weapons systems and the Kiev regime’s support of Kiev with strike data makes Western countries complicit in the war crimes of the Ukrainian armed forces and national battalions, Nebenzya said.

The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation noted that the objectives of the special operation in Ukraine would be achieved. He stressed that Russia reserves the right to take all necessary measures to neutralize security threats.

Previously, Russia had circulated to the UN statements by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Budanov, about the murders of Russians. The letter from the Russian side indicates that this is a blatant example of hate speech, Russophobia, incitement to violence on ethnic grounds.
