Elon Musk wrote on Twitter: “Followers with the blue verification mark will be able to upload two hour videos, which equals 8 gigabytes (in terms of size).”
The maximum length available for videos in verified accounts on Twitter was 10 minutes, while regular accounts could upload videos of two minutes and 20 seconds.
The American billionaire did not provide additional details about the new service on Twitter.
And if this service comes into effect, it will practically undermine the principles of brevity and abbreviation that characterized the beginnings of the site when the tweet ended in writing 140 characters.
It’s the latest change Musk announced on Twitter since he bought it out last year in a $44 billion deal.
Among these changes:
Grant the blue mark to subscribers for a fee and take it away from others who have already gotten it if they don’t pay the money. Split the Twitter timeline into two lists, the first for accounts followed by the tweeter and the second for site recommendations. Introduce gold authentication marks for companies and institutions and silver authentication marks for governments.
