Amreli (Gujarat). Former Gujarat Agriculture Minister Vallabhbhai Vaghasia died after his car collided with a bulldozer near Savarkundla town in Amreli district. The police gave this information on Friday.

The police officer said that Vaghasia was returning from some village to Savarkundla when the accident took place on the state highway near Vanda village at around 8.30 pm. Another person who was sitting with him in the vehicle was injured. Police said that the former minister was driving the car which rammed into the bulldozer and he was seriously injured. He said that Vaghasia was taken to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.

After getting information about the accident, a large number of party leaders and supporters of Vaghasia gathered at the hospital. Sitting MLA from Savarkundla and BJP leader Mahesh Kaswala said, “Former MLA from Savarkundla seat and former minister VV Vaghasia died in a road accident. has expired. A skilled organiser, a people’s leader and a leader who served the people of Amreli is no longer with us.

We pray for the departed soul to rest in peace and strength to his family to bear this loss.” Amreli MLA Kaushik Vekaria said that Waghasia would be remembered for his commitment towards the welfare of the people of the area. He had won the 2012 assembly elections as a BJP candidate from the Savarkundla seat and was sworn in as a minister in the Vijay Rupani government in 2016.
