Zelenskyy calls on Arab leaders to back 10-point plan to end war

Zelenskyy, who is making his first trip to the kingdom, said in a letter that delegations would receive the text of the 10-point peace plan and asked them to work directly with Ukraine without intermediaries.

Zelenskyy added, during a speech he gave at the opening of the Arab League summit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: “We don’t have the missiles that the enemy has, and we don’t have of air capabilities equal to the capabilities of the enemy (. ..), but we stay strong because we know the truth is on our side.”

He continued: “We are trying to repel the invaders from our land and whoever defends their land and protects their children from slavery, such a warrior is on the path of justice, and I am proud to say that I represent these warriors and fighters and all the Ukrainian people.”

The Ukrainian president, who is attending the summit at the invitation of Saudi Arabia, said: “Ukrainians have never chosen the path of war, and our forces have not gone to lands other than Ukrainian lands. , and we have not launched operations to plunder the resources of others, but we will never submit to any foreign country or any, and we will continue the struggle.”

He addressed his speech to the Arab leaders: “I am sure that all your countries understand what feelings we are shivering with, and I am sure of the appeal that I will make here from Jeddah. It is an appeal and a duty to protect the ‘Ukraine people, including the Ukrainian Muslim community’.

Zelinsky said that he accompanied Mustafa Jamiliev, the representative of the Tatar people who lives in Crimea, to the Arab peak, and that he is one of the indigenous people of Ukraine and is at the heart of Islamic civilization in Ukraine.

He added: “The Tatar people will remain a part of Ukrainian society, and we know that they are suffering a lot from Russian aggression.”

He praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts to free Ukrainians held by Russia, considering the case a positive experience, expressing his hope that this experience would grow.
