Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Service dispute: BJP called the ordinance of the Center necessary to maintain the dignity of Delhi.

New Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday welcomed the central government’s ordinance on transfers and postings of bureaucrats in Delhi, alleging that the Kejriwal government was “intimidating” officers in the guise of the recent Supreme Court verdict on service matters. and is “misusing” its powers.

BJP’s Delhi unit president Virendra Sachdeva said in a press conference that this ordinance is necessary to maintain the dignity of Delhi and protect the interests of the people. And for the purpose of setting up ‘National Capital Public Service Authority’ for disciplinary action against him, an ordinance was issued on Friday.

Significantly, just a week before the ordinance was issued, the Supreme Court had handed over control of police, law and order and all other services in the national capital to the Delhi government except land. Sachdeva said, “Delhi is the national capital. And whatever happens here, it has an impact in the country and the whole world. “He said,” Will you (Delhi government) resort to hooliganism and intimidation of officials under the guise of the Supreme Court’s verdict? ‘

The BJP leader said his party would not remain a mute spectator. Sachdeva alleged that soon after the Supreme Court verdict, the Kejriwal government started “snatching” files related to its probe into “scams and corruption” from the vigilance department. It claimed that the lock of the vigilance officer’s room in the Delhi Secretariat was broken and files related to the probe into the excise ‘scam’, renovation of the chief minister’s residence and the feedback unit were photocopied.
