In a statement, the Sudanese Foreign Ministry accused the Rapid Support Forces of “attacking the headquarters of the Qatar Embassy in Khartoum, tampering with its contents, vandalizing furniture and stealing property, computers and cars , without observing international norms and laws relating to the inviolability and protection of diplomats, of the headquarters and of the property of diplomatic missions”.
For its part, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack on its embassy in Khartoum, stressing at the same time that “the staff of the embassy had been evacuated before and that none of the diplomats or staff of the embassy had suffered no damage”.
The ministry renewed Qatar’s call to immediately cease fighting in Sudan, exercise maximum restraint, use the voice of reason, put the public interest first and spare civilians the consequences of the fighting.
Emirati conviction
For its part, the UAE strongly condemned the assault and vandalism of the Qatar Embassy in Khartoum, stressing the importance of protecting diplomatic buildings in accordance with the norms and charters that govern and regulate diplomatic work.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates affirmed that the United Arab Emirates expresses its strong condemnation of these criminal acts which aim to destabilize security and stability and contradict the values and moral principles and humans.
The ministry underscored the importance of intensifying efforts aimed at a ceasefire, a return to the political framework and dialogue, and advancing in the transition phase to achieve the desired political and security stability in Sudan.
Kuwaiti condemnation
The State of Kuwait also condemned the raid in a statement, stressing its categorical rejection of all forms of violence and vandalism and the continuation of these hostilities targeting the headquarters of diplomatic missions accredited in Sudan, which constitutes a flagrant violation of the rules. of international law. and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.
