Lebanon’s acting Prime Minister Najib Mikati was quick to hail Bahrain’s decision, saying, “We appreciate this decision and welcome it in the context of the brotherly relations between the two countries,” according to a statement from the presidency. of the Council of Ministers.

Mikati continued, “I repeat what I said at the Jeddah Summit of Lebanon in thanking the brotherly countries, especially the members of the Gulf Cooperation Council, for providing employment opportunities for the Lebanese in their lands and within their private and public institutions, wishing a speedy return of all Arab brothers in Lebanon.”

Mikati had consulted Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Abdullah Bou Habib, and they agreed on “the importance of embracing this gesture and building on it to develop and strengthen bilateral relations between Lebanon and Bahrain. “, according to the statement of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
