‘Modi will make personal effort to stop Russia-Ukraine war’

Hiroshima: Describing the Ukraine-Russia conflict as a humanitarian crisis in the world, India today said that the Government of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will do everything in their power to end this conflict. Prime Minister Narendra Modi clearly stated this in his bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the G-7 summit. He also reiterated India’s support for dialogue and diplomatic efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict and humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine. Modi tweeted after the nearly half-an-hour meeting with Mr. Zelensky, “Met President Zelensky in Hiroshima. We conveyed India’s unequivocal support for dialogue and diplomacy to find a way forward. We will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine.”
