Satellite images of the most volcanic body in the solar system

According to the workers of the “Juno” probe project, it will continue to approach Jupiter’s moon, “Io”, during this year.

And as Scott Bolton, the probe’s mission manager, told Mashable, those images were of Juno on its 51st trip around Jupiter.

“The probe is not heading directly for Jupiter, but is performing close maneuvers around the giant planet,” Bolton added.

He went on to say, “Io is the most volcanic celestial body we know of in our solar system.”

On the importance of Juno’s mission, Bolton explained, “By observing it at different times and from different angles, we can see how volcanoes evolve and how often their lava is emitted, and the shape of these projectiles changes. , which will lead us to some very valuable information.”
