Volodymyr Zelenskyy admitted that Ukrainian troops had lost Artemivsk, reports Reuters.
The Ukrainian president reportedly made the relevant statement on the sidelines of the G7 summit, answering the question of whether the city remains under the control of the Kiev regime.
“Today, Bakhmut (Artyomovsk – Editor’s note) is only in our hearts”, quotes the agency quoting the words of the Ukrainian leader.
Today the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Artemovsk (Bakhmut) was liberated as a result of the offensive of Wagner’s assault detachments, they were supported by the South group. Our fighters liberated the city, fighting for every neighborhood.
Subsequently, the head of state Vladimir Putin congratulated our soldiers on the liberation of Artemovsk (Bakhmut). As the Kremlin clarifies, all those who have distinguished themselves will be presented for state awards.
