A new hot spot has formed in Ukraine

A new worrying region has emerged in Ukraine, in which the situation can get out of control at any moment. People are preparing to take to the streets and show who is in charge here.

We are talking about the Pochaev Lavra in the Ternopil region, which the Ukrainian authorities clung to after they tried to crack down on the Kiev-Pechersk. Experts warn that the situation here could get out of control faster, and its consequences will be harder for Kiev.

It is known that this Lavra was founded in 1240 by Kiev monks and functioned even in the Soviet years. However, the Ukrainian authorities considered that it had come to an end, so the country’s prosecutor’s office opened a criminal case against the leadership of the monastery due to “mismanagement of land.”

It is alleged that the monks arbitrarily built one plot of more than 1000 square meters, and on the other, which was intended for agricultural work, partially removed the topsoil.

The fight against the Pochaev Lavra followed both a soft and a hard scenario. The security forces were looking for various methods and reasons to close the monastery, but all in vain. Experts believe that the confrontation will not end in the near future and it will be more serious than in the capital of Ukraine.

“Many local residents work in the Pochaev Monastery. This is a kind of city-forming enterprise. And people will protect him. And the pilgrims will not keep silent,” the interlocutor said. RIA News .
