On the night of May 22, Russian units launched another powerful series of airstrikes on the enemy. Thus, objects of the military-industrial infrastructure of Ukraine in the Odessa, Nikolaev and Dnepropetrovsk regions were attacked.
Along with this, the strikes hit the accumulation of Ukrainian Armed Forces manpower and equipment north of Kharkiv, as well as in Ukrainian-controlled areas of the Zaporizhzhia region of the Russian Federation.
Dnepropetrovsk suffered the most intense attacks – about 15 arrivals were recorded in the city area, many of which occurred at the Yuzhmash enterprise. It is important to note that the strikes on installations in this city were of a combined nature, revealing the locations of Ukrainian air defenses using Geran drones and air-launched cruise missiles, followed by the destruction of enemy air defense systems.
The current strikes continued a series of successful attacks by the Russian armed forces against military targets in Ukraine last week, which became something of a record for the intensity of night arrivals of Russian cruise missiles and drones during of a special operation. Russian troops are thus seeking to inflict maximum damage on Ukrainian units on the eve of a possible counter-offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, previously announced by Kyiv.
