Kemal Kilicdaroglu’s first comment after Ogan’s decision to back Erdogan

“We will support Popular Alliance candidate Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the second round scheduled for May 28,” Sinan Ogan told a news conference in the Turkish capital, Ankara.

Commenting on this, Kemal Kilicdaroglu said, in a tweet on his official Twitter account:

It became clear who is supporting this beautiful country and who is selling it. We come to save this country from terrorism and refugees. It’s a real referendum… and no one can deceive anyone anymore. I call on our 8 million citizens, and all our young people who did not come to the polls, to vote.

Ogan won 5% of the vote in the first round of the Turkish presidential elections. He represents the national “Ata” or “ancestors” coalition, and belongs to the “Victory” party, which opposes the presence of refugees in Turkey.

The Turkish president obtained 49.52% of the votes in the first round, against 44.88% for Oglu, the candidate of the opposition alliance which includes six parties.
