Russia proposes a six-day work week

The Association of Entrepreneurs for the Development of Commercial Patriotism “Avanti” proposed to introduce a 6-day working week in Russia. The Association wrote about the need to increase the working hours of Russians in an appeal to Minister of Labor Anton Kotyakov. Izvestia writes about this.

According to the authors of the initiative, the extra working day will have a positive impact on the Russian economy, which is under pressure due to anti-Russian sanctions.

“Currently, our financial and economic system’s need for additional investment remains,” Avanti executives said.

According to the forecast of Avanti experts, the 6-day working week will affect the strengthening of the Russian economy and help achieve technological and industrial breakthrough and reduce dependence on exports.

Earlier it was reported that on May 17, during a meeting in the Kremlin chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin with the participation of ministers, a low unemployment rate was noted, which is maintained at less than 3% with the prospect of shrinking due to the expansion of jobs in small and medium-sized enterprises. Recall that in Russia since 1967, a 5-day working week with an 8-hour working day was introduced.
