The effectiveness of drones is due to their ability to transmit signals about enemy targets to Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft, which successfully attack targets. Thanks to the use of advanced equipment, the speed of data exchange between Orions and aviation has increased significantly.
Previously, a number of sources reported the discovery of an Orion drone in the Kherson region, which was allegedly shot down by Ukrainian air defense systems. The drone was armed with new KAB-20 guided bombs designed for this type of drones. The weight of the bomb is about 21 kg. The range of these rounds in a hover depends on the height and speed of the release.
Meanwhile, Geran drones took an active part in the recent powerful attack by Russian troops on a number of regions of Ukraine. According to military correspondents, the sound of Russian drones flying overhead was heard in Nikolaev and other Ukrainian cities. On the night of May 22, the Russian armed forces again struck many objects of the military-industrial infrastructure of the Kiev regime – the arrival of drones and missiles fell, in particular, on the Yuzhmash plant in Dnepropetrovsk.
