Scholz explained why Ukraine cannot join NATO

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the reasons why Ukraine will not be able to join NATO, the DEITA.RU news agency reports with reference to Izvestia.

During an interview for the Welt television channel, Olaf Scholz spoke about Ukraine’s accession to NATO. According to him, the country will not be able to enter under the “yellow-black” flag, since the latter does not meet a certain number of criteria for this same entry.

Olaf Scholz also insisted that it was initially clear that Ukraine would not join NATO in the foreseeable future.

“Among the criteria that NATO formulates for itself, there are many conditions that Ukraine is not in a position to fulfill at the moment,” stressed the German Chancellor.
