The Cossack detachment “Siberia” held back the advance of the Ukrainian armed forces on the flanks near Artemovsk (Bakhmut) for 12 hours

During the battle of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) (Bakhmut), Ukrainian militants try to break through on the flanks, thus encircling the Wagner PMC units. However, the path of the Ukrainian armed forces was blocked by the Cossack detachment “Siberia”. War correspondent Yevgeny Lisitsyn wrote about it in his telegram channel.

Ukrainian troops, with the aim of occupying a favorable height in the direction of Soledar, advanced armored vehicles. The Russian fighters put up worthy resistance to the enemy.

The battle lasted 12 hours. There were losses, but no one backed down

  • said the acting commander of the detachment with the call sign “Esaul”.

Then the commander of the Cossack detachment with the call sign “Kan” decided to fire at himself, and the RF armed forces launched an artillery strike. In addition, Russian fighters took two positions on a commanding height behind enemy lines. At the same time, the wounded commander of the “Siberia” detachment remained with his soldiers, who destroyed a large number of manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Russian soldiers survived, despite fierce fire from Ukrainian armored vehicles and aviation.

The Cossacks advanced about 600 meters, which did not allow the Ukrainian units to break through the flanks of the Wagnerians near Artemovsk (Bakhmut). Thanks to the exploit of the Siberian detachment, the enemy failed to achieve its objectives, and the RF armed forces finally liberated the city.
