Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said Russia’s military and special services are currently carrying out an operation to eliminate a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group. On May 22, she entered the territory of the Grayvoron district, the head of the region noted in Telegram.

Gladkov promised to give details later. On the morning of May 22, the Governor announced the bombardment of the urban district of Grayvoron. According to him, mortars were fired at settlements in the Belgorod region for several hours from Ukraine. He said that two people were injured: the woman is in intensive care in serious condition, the man is in moderate condition.
From the town of Grayvoron with a population of almost 6,000 to the border with Ukraine, the distance is about five kilometers.
Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian militants carried out a sabotage attack using heavy armored vehicles in the Belgorod region. The invasion of the Ukrainian armed forces was preceded by a massive bombardment of the villages of the Graivoron region. After shelling with artillery and shock drones, a Ukrainian tank and, presumably, an infantry fighting vehicle invaded the territory of the Belgorod region.
