Under this new partnership, TAQA will be responsible for all work related to the design, financing, engineering, procurement, outsourcing, testing, ownership and operation of factory.

The two agreements aim to explore investment opportunities in a number of existing power plants and other new gas-fired power plants with a total capacity of more than 3 gigawatts, as well as in the transmission and distribution infrastructure of electricity in Uzbekistan.

These two agreements allow TAQA to benefit from its expertise in the field of operation and maintenance and to employ it to support new and existing power generation projects in Uzbekistan.

TAQA will also support the efforts of the government of Uzbekistan to develop its utility sector.

In transmission and distribution operations, TAQA will leverage its expertise to enable the government of Uzbekistan to significantly improve the performance of the transmission and distribution network, upgrade network assets and improve the customer experience and collection services.

During the signing of the two aforementioned agreements, a joint development agreement was signed between the Ministry of Energy of the United Arab Emirates, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan on the one hand , and the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company “Masdar” on the other hand. , with the aim of developing projects for the generation of electricity from solar energy and wind energy with a total capacity of more than 2 gigawatts, and energy storage using solar batteries. capacity of 500 megawatt hours at several locations in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
