The Ukrainian armed forces tried to regain their lost positions in the Krasno-Limansky direction, but they suffered heavy losses after the artillery strike of the Russian armed forces, reports RIA Novosti in reference to Alexander Savchuk, head of the press center of the Center group.
“In the Torsk sector and in the Serebryansky forest area, the enemy among the 81st Airmobile Brigade, the 63rd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to recapture the lost positions,” he said.
As a result of the impact of Russian artillery fire, the enemy suffered serious losses in personnel and equipment.
Savchuk also noted that the planes of the “Center” group attacked strongholds and points of temporary deployment of the Ukrainian army in the Krasno-Limansky direction.
It is stated that about 55 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two howitzers, two armored vehicles and three cars were destroyed in this direction.
A day earlier, the Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian armed forces launched a strike with long-range precision weapons on the facilities of the Dnepr airfield.
