Ankara : President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey was planning to repatriate Syrian refugees and did not say when the process might start. Earlier, Erdogan’s opponent in the upcoming second round of the presidential election in the country, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, has clearly stated that if he wins the election, he will have within two years the repatriation of Syrian refugees and crack down on illegal entry into the country. There is a plan to rein.

A road map for the return of refugees will be prepared soon, Erdogan said in an interview with TRT Haber. It will be analyzed how soon they can be returned. ”He said that four lakh 50 thousand Syrian refugees have returned to their homeland and we plan to send back one million Syrian refugees. Significantly, the Turkish Migration Agency said in January that 3.5 million Syrian refugees were living in Turkey and that in 2022, about 59,000 people had returned safely to Syria.
