According to the FSB of the Russian Federation, from February to April this year, an employee of a defense company communicated via instant messaging with an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine. He passed on secret information and performed various tasks for the benefit of the enemy for a monetary reward.
A criminal case for treason has been opened against the detainee. The maximum penalty provided for in this article is life imprisonment.
In early April, the FSB press service in the Sverdlovsk region reported on the detention of a married couple in Nizhny Tagil, who also carried out espionage at a defense industry enterprise in the interest of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine. According to the department, the husband and wife handed over military-technical information to Kiev for a cash reward of 100,000 rubles.
