The meeting of the Council of Heads of the Ministry of Defense of the CSTO will take place on May 25 in Minsk. This was announced by the organization’s press secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov, reports FAN.

The president will be the head of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus Viktor Khrenin. During the event, it is planned to review materials on the joint readiness of the command and control bodies of the CSTO and the collective defense system. “On May 25, a meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will be held in Minsk under the chairmanship of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin,” said Zainetdinov said. The day before, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had announced that he would leave the CSTO if he considered it an “incompetent” structure. However, he did not rule out the country’s participation in the military exercises of the organization in Kyrgyzstan.
