Washington. US President Joe Biden will host Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen at the White House next month for talks on their joint efforts, including supporting Ukraine. The White House announced Frederiksen’s June 5 visit on Tuesday.
It is noteworthy that a few days ago the White House had announced that Biden had provided Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets and was supporting an international effort to train its pilots for this. Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine facing war, had been demanding F-16 fighter jets for a long time.
Denmark, a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), has bought dozens of US-made F-16 fighter jets since the 1970s and has indicated it may provide aid to Ukraine. White House press secretary K.K. “The two leaders will review our efforts as NATO allies and close partners to strengthen security and economic prosperity across the Atlantic,” Jean-Pierre said in a statement.
“They will discuss our unwavering support for Ukraine in the wake of the Russia-Ukraine war,” he said.
