Heliobiologist RAS Breus warned about the consequences of a magnetic storm for the human body

RAS Researcher Tamara Breus in an interview Gazete.RU warned the Russians about the unpleasant consequences of the influence of magnetic storms on the human body.

Previously, science could not know for sure whether magnetic storms really affect the human body. However, more recent studies have successfully proven this fact.

Today, scientists know that magnetic storms affect the cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems, as well as the psyche. Nevertheless, according to Tamara Breus, the human body can adapt to such conditions, but not 100%.

For example, our cells can respond to changes in the magnetic field because they have their own charge. Therefore, with a storm with a strength of more than four points, we may experience discomfort in the heart and blood vessels.

“In this regard, we are all meteorologically dependent,” the specialist said.

In addition, magnetic storms provoke agglutination of red blood cells. Due to this, the blood begins to clot, the vessels narrow, and the pressure inevitably rises. All this only increases the risk of a heart attack or stroke.

“One of the studies of scientists showed that an additional 11,000 heart attacks and 7,000 strokes occur during a year during magnetic storms,” the expert said.

In conclusion, Breus warned that during magnetic storms, a person can feel pain in the bones and joints, which is also, in general, quite unpleasant.
