Mumbai Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal met Nationalist Congress Party President Sharad Pawar here on Thursday.
Kejriwal was accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann when he met Pawar at the YB Chavan Center in south Mumbai. Kejriwal is on a two-day visit to Mumbai. The top Aam Aadmi Party leader had on Wednesday met former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray at his Bandra residence.
During the meeting, he had sought their support for AAP’s fight against the BJP-ruled Center’s ordinance on deregulation of services in Delhi. Kejriwal and Mann met their West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata on Tuesday as part of their nationwide tour to drum up support for AAP’s fight against the Centre’s ordinance.
The Center last Friday promulgated an ordinance to set up an authority for transfer and posting of ‘Group-A’ officers in Delhi. The AAP government termed the move as a travesty of the Supreme Court’s decision on regulation of services.
