Sultan Al Neyadi published on this occasion two photos of the celebration which took place at the International Space Station, commenting on them by saying: “The first anniversary that I celebrate in space”.
He added: “The feeling is indescribable here with colleagues who have become my second family. A cake from America and another from Russia, and the best thing is that I received congratulations in Arabic from Rayana and Ali!”
On Sunday, the two Saudi astronauts took off for a special mission organized by the American company “Axiom Space”, from Florida.
Since arriving at the International Space Station, Al Neyadi has been keen to post stunning views of Earth from space, in addition to sharing some challenges and accomplishments.
About two months ago, the Emirati astronaut part of the “Crew-6” team launched a scientific mission to the space station.
Al-Neyadi is engaged in the longest scientific mission for Arabs in space, which will last six consecutive months on the space station. He will participate in scientific experiments in 10 vital domains for the duration of the mission.
