Russia’s official Tass news agency quoted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying that Russia will achieve all its goals in Ukraine, either through its own military operation or through other means. Amid multiple Ukrainian statements about launching a counter-attack on Russian forces.

Peskov told “Tass” that it is too early to talk about the best plan for Russia among the plans for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict proposed by the various countries and whether they have their own version of settling the conflict, adding: “So far, it is clear that there are no indications for a peaceful settlement. The special military operation continues.

According to him, there can be no talk at the present time about negotiations with Kiev, because the Ukrainian authorities themselves have prohibited negotiations with Russia. Special military operation or any other means available ».

For his part, the head of the Russian “Wagner” group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that more than 20,000 of his forces died in the long battle to control Bakhmut, pointing to the death of about 20% of the 50,000 Russian convicts he recruited to fight in the 15-month-old war in the city located eastern Ukraine.
