Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev may sign a Karabakh peace agreement at the European Political Community summit in Moldova on June 1, Reuters reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to France Leyla Abdullayeva.
“We hope that on June 1, a peace treaty will finally be signed in Chisinau. This is a historic moment not to be missed,” she said.
It is specified that on the sidelines of the summit, Pashinyan and Aliyev will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said that the development of the situation with the Karabakh conflict is currently heading towards a settlement.
