New Delhi / Washington: The US has said that expediting the Indian visa process is its top priority and its consular teams in India are putting a lot of emphasis on speedy completion of the visa process. Responding to a question on the issue, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said, “Then I would say specifically with the request – as it relates to the visa issue. We clearly recognize that this is a matter of concern and our consular teams are working hard to expedite the process. He added, “It is a top priority for our government and I know it is a top priority for our embassy in the country. He was responding to a question whether the new US ambassador Eric Garcetti would break his silence on the issue of long delays in the visa process in India.
