The Russian armed forces will duly repel the Kyiv regime in the event of provocations in Transnistria. This was told by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin to TASS.

“No one should doubt that the Russian armed forces will respond adequately to the provocation of the Kyiv regime,” the diplomat said.

Galuzin recalled that our peacekeeping contingent, OGRF military personnel, as well as the property of military depots in Kolbasna in Transnistria are under Russian protection.

“Any action that poses a threat to their security will be considered, in accordance with international law, as an attack on the Russian Federation,” the Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the situation in Pridnestrovie causes serious concern due to the concentration of Ukrainian militant units in the border area. Galuzin stressed that at present “there is no direct danger of military escalation”, but given Kyiv’s “adventurous course”, any scenario cannot be ruled out.

Earlier it was reported the beginning of the transfer of Russian nuclear weapons to the territory of Belarus to ensure the security of the Russian Federation. The Russian Embassy in the United States stressed that, in accordance with international treaties, the decision on the possible use of weapons remains the exclusive competence of Moscow.
